InterAction, in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Business Civic Leadership Center and with funding from FedEx, has developed Haiti Aid Map to provide detailed project-level information on the work being done by nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in Haiti. The site can be browsed by location, sector, organization or project and features maps highlighting NGOs’ work on specific issues, such as the cholera outbreak. With Haiti Aid Map, InterAction aims to dramatically increase transparency, facilitate partnerships, and improve coordination among those working in Haiti. Using data gathered from the field, this site will also help NGOs, donors and the public make more informed decisions about where to direct their resources. Haiti Aid Map is part of NGO Aid Map, a broader mapping initiative to provide detailed information on the work of InterAction members around the world. About NGO Aid MapNGO Aid Map is an InterAction initiative focused on collecting information on NGOs' work at the project level and making it accessible to donors, NGOs, businesses, governments and the public through an online, interactive mapping tool.
