The National ICT Strategy and Action Plan was finalised in September 2012. From the Introduction ".. SVG’s ICT Strategy and Action plan in line with the WSIS action line items focuses on, among other things, ICT infrastructure, access, capacity building and economic development. Additionally, SVG’s Strategy and Plan is well timed to benefit from this global emphasis being placed on ICT and can expect significance guidance and insight from In a Caribbean regional level, CARICOM in collaboration with its stakeholders has developed a Regional Digital Development Strategy (RDDS) which addresses the implications of international treaties, regulations, standards and trade agreements, and pressing development/digital divide issues, e.g. WSIS. Very few ministries responsible for Energy in the region have a web presence and only Jamaica has a section devoted to renewable energy. The Caribbean Information Platform on Renewable Energy (CIPORE) was developed for the provision of information on renewable energy in the region, it will be integral to assist the local ministries responsible for energy build their capacity in this area. Enhancing Resilience to Reduce Vulnerability in the CaribbeanProject Status:

This initiative takes an integrated approach to vulnerability reduction and enhancing resilience to climate change, natural hazards and poverty through enhanced civil protection. It covers Barbados and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines). They are highly vulnerable to various natural hazards and climate change impacts, also having fragile ecosystems and concentrations of settlements and major functions in low lying coastal areas and other hazard prone locations.
