In just one generation, information and communications technologies (ICTs) have revolutionised the way we live, learn, work and play. They have radically recast the ways in which people, industry, governments and society interact.

About the CARIB-IS Logo
The Caribbean Information Society logo seeks illustrate the digital caribbean as it transitions to a Information Society. The multi coloured  logo comprises of a set of discs  similar in representaion to those of  hard drive . The  array of colours represents the cultural diversity of the region while the symbol in the centre represents the human element. This human element being at the centre of the technological advancement of the region. The arrows represent the information sharing component which is meant to facilitate the bridging of the digital divide gap.
